<p><strong>RULES SPECIFIC TO THIS TOURNAMENT</strong><br />
<strong>1</strong>.Age eligibility for this tournament is what your age is (12) as of January 1st of the year of the tournament.  As has always been our policy, younger players are also eligible.</p>
<p><strong>2</strong>. All National Federation of High School (NFHS) rules will apply with the exception of the following rules:</p>
<ul>
<li> 40 foot pitching distance.</li>
<li>Games are 7 innings or 1 hour and 20 minutes unless tied. A ten-run rule applies after five innings and a fifteen-run rule after four. The 10/15 run rule applies in all games.</li>
<li>The International tie-breaker rule will be used in ALL extra-inning games. No time limit applies in the Semi-finals or finals.</li>
<li>Pitchers are allowed three warm-up pitches at the start of an inning or following a change of pitchers. This may be extended at the discretion of the umpire.</li>
<li>The Stars of Tomorrow promotes participation. Teams may bat everyone and use open substitutions, but they can choose to only bat nine and use regular substitution rules (one re-entry per starter or non starter).  A team cannot change its choice during the game.</li>
<li>If a team has an injury and does not have eligible players left on the bench while batting nine players, then they will be allowed to enter a player who had already been removed from the game. If batting everyone with free substitutions and a player gets injured, the injured player may be dropped from the lineup without penalty, however, the injured player may not re-enter the game.</li>
<li>All rosters must be completed and turned in before your first scheduled game.<strong> No</strong> changes to rosters after the start of your first game. All scheduled games must be played.</li>
<li>The catcher must have a courtesy runner if there are two outs. The courtesy runner will be a player not in the game or the last out.</li>
</ul>

<p>Starts of Tomorrow Inc. is a nonprofit organization and has been successful for over 50 years because of community volunteers and the many teams that participate.  We thank you for your team’s interest, and hope you will join us for another successful year full of memories.</p>
